Within the last several years, DataArt’s Travel & Hospitality team of specialists has created hundreds of solutions for the travel market. We consult and conduct the whole cycle of creating IT services, from designing to developing, integrating, and supporting applications.

The peculiarity of the travel industry projects is in the understandability of the ultimate goals.

And now DataArt’s Travel & Hospitality practice is expanding, and we are looking for a high-skilled and experienced mature Solution Architect with Java knowledge for presales activities in the Travel industry.

The successful candidate has to be able to become a role model for other Solutions Architects and will... act as a mentor to help more junior Solutions Architects to grow.

Technology stack .NET, Java, Spring, Cloud, Service-based architecture, Async architecture.

Responsibilities
• Elicit business needs and technical requirements, determine the scope, team, and timelines for the project
• Lead the implementation of the solutions from ideation to completion
• Software architecture and solution design
• Leading the technical side of capability development (project architecture planning, designing, and evaluating)
• Assisting the project’s leadership by planning, estimating, and performing risk identification and mitigation for projects
• Mentoring, coaching, and educating other team members
• Supporting pre-sales and project activities from the technical side

Requirements
• Solid 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect in commercial software development projects
• Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
• Experience working with the Spring framework
• Hands-on experience with the .NET development stack
• Proficiency with information technologies in a secure network environment
• Strong background in data, analytics, and tools/technologies
• Experience with CI/CD tooling
• Understanding of the travel and hospitality industry
• Ability to define high-level solutions and system architectures and understand how various components of the architecture interact
• Ability to design and deliver solution architecture documentation
• Experience with relational databases
• Solid understanding of web services and RESTful APIs
• Good understanding of architecture principles, platforms, and best practices
• Good spoken English

Nice to have
• Experience in team leadership and/or project management is an advantage
• Experience in preparing commercial offers
• Knowledge of the Agile development methodology and experience in teamwork
• Experience with foreign clients
