About the Role

Base Location: Slough, Reading

As part of the network team, you'll actively support within project management and delivery functions for the existing network and its development plans, and provide same services for new networks and assets as required.

Within this role, you'll also contribute to the delivery of the asset management and investment program to improve the heath index and network safety and deliver the growth strategy for the network.

You’ll ensure that project management principles are embedded in the operations and project delivery with a strong focus on health & safety, project control and governance.

The projects shall be delivered according to the electrical power distribution standards and specifications for EHV, HV and LV networks... to ensure that the network remains fully complaint with the technical and regulatory requirements.

You'll be responsible for the project management and delivery of new connection projects, diversions and network alternations, while you will engage actively with the project teams throughout the design and project delivery as required.

Within this role, you'll also communicate with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to customers, subcontractors, Distribution Network Operators, project teams, and support the corporate governance process.

What do I need?

You will have demonstrable solid experience in the management and delivery of EHV, HV and LV power system projects from tendering stage to project completion.

Your project experience may include new cable connections, diversion, new substations including switchgear and transformers and refurbishment/replacement of existing assets.

You will have an engineering qualification and project management background with a good understanding of electrical power regulatory standards for Distribution Network Operators and a strong focus on Health & Safety regulations and best practice.

You will have a strong commercial and contractual acumen giving you the ability to have a flexible approach to client requirements, in order to deliver solutions efficiently and safely.

In addition, you'll be a strong communicator, both verbally and written and be a skilled multi-tasker. With this, you will also bring excellent organisational and management skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and stakeholders.
