BROAD FUNCTION

Assists pharmacist to manage the operations of the informatics section.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DESIRED OUTCOMES

(A) Specific (80%)
• Maintain Pharmacy IT and Automation systems by ensuring timely and accurate updates.
• Take on the role of System Superuser and train pharmacy staff on the system usage.
• Work closely with various System Supports and Pharmacy Users on troubleshooting, system enhancement and workflow design.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across sections to ensure seamless implementation and maintenance of the IT systems.
• Monitor billing functions process and ensures the cost and revenue of all stocks supplied are recovered.

(B) General (20%)
• Assists the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders for dispensing which includes typing, picking, packing, labeling and distribution of drug supplies to the wards and other hospital departments.
• Dispenses medicines under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assists in providing quality customer... service.
• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Certificate in Pharmacy Technician course (Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore) or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Inpatient or Outpatient Pharmacy practice.
• Experience with Inpatient/ Outpatient Pharmacy Automation systems, hospital electronic medication records systems, inventory and billing systems will be an advantage.

REQUIREMENT/COMPETENCIES
• Basic programming knowledge will be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic drug counseling and customer service skills.
• 5.5 days work and alternate weekend
