About the Role

As a marketing translator reporting to the localization manager EMEA, your primary responsibility will be to translate and localize marketing content into Spanish. This will require you to conduct research into industry-specific terminology and ensure that the translated content accurately conveys the original meaning and tone. You will also be responsible for checking the quality of translated material and proofreading translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.

In addition, you will need to work closely with internal team members to ensure that the translated content meets their needs. This will involve following up with team members to gather feedback and make any necessary changes to the translated material.

Furthermore, you will be expected to write editorial content in Spanish for topics provided by the marketing team. As part of this role, you will need to edit the content with an eye toward maintaining its original format, including font... and structure.

Overall, your role will be critical in ensuring that our marketing content is effectively translated and localized for Spanish-speaking markets.

Location- Remote, anywhere in Romania.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Translate and localize content into Spanish
• Research industry-specific terminology and ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone
• Prepare subtitles for presentations
• Check quality of translated material and proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy
• Follow up with internal team members to ensure translation meets their needs
• Editorial writing for topics provided by the marketing team in Spanish
• Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g., font and structure)
• Other duties as assigned

About You:
• Bilingual Spanish/native (C2+), fluent English (C1)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven work experience as a translator, interpreter, or similar role
• Advanced MS Office skills for PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Great interest in IT topics
• Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
• Time-management skills, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Bonus Skills:
• Additional language proficiency
• Experience with writing according to SEO best practices or previous experience with SEO for content
• WordPress experience
• Additional certification in Linguistics
