Job Description:CMTA Dallas, a Legence company, seeks a highly successful and motivated construction administrator / commissioning engineer with five years or more experience in mechanical and/or electrical construction projects to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as a representative for CMTA during all phases of construction with support for mechanical and electrical project... engineering team while working to achieve the goals CMTA has set forth related to Building Science Leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for review of contractor’s installation quality and make regular inspections/punch lists while keeping the project scheduling moving. Attendance at owner, architect, contractor (OAC) meetings will be required to help solve problems related to the mechanical electrical systems being installed/operated and construction phasing. OAC meetings will be a mix of in-person and virtual/remote meetings. Also, work with shop drawings, submittals, RFI’s and review drawings against project specifications. This position also involves technical field commissioning and retro-commissioning with a focus on Building Science Leadership. Specific tasks will include implementation of technical commissioning and retro-commissioning processes and standards, review of project design documents, preparation of commissioning plans, attendance at project meetings, inspection and functional testing of installed equipment and systems, and preparation of commissioning and retro-commissioning reports. Work Conditions:This position will require the associate to travel throughout the state with overnight stays sometimes necessary. Some projects may be located outside the state. When on jobsites, the associate will be working in all types of weather which may, at times, include extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, snow, etc. Minor lifting may be required along with climbing ladders, crawling, and working in tight spaces. Prolonged standing may also be required.
