An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our NELFT NHS Foundation Trust community children's services team in Essex and Thurrock. If you enjoy working in an integrated multi-disciplinary team and have the background, experience and proven track record in developing and delivering a high standard of care for young people and families then this is the post for you.
The Trust is committed to delivering the best possible evidenced based care and interventions to children and young people experiencing social communication and co-morbid difficulties and is seeking to employ a highly motivated and skilled clinician to contribute to the success of the service. You will work alongside the Head of Service and the Pathway Leads to help support the delivery of psychological support across the team and across service lines. Through your clinical leadership, you will be able to contribute towards the Autism Spectrum Diagnosis pathway development and improvement as... well as being an integral part of the team that delivers assessment, diagnosis and support to families. The post holder will be accountable for their own professional actions and will work within professional ethics & NELFT NHS Trust Policies.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement – London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,136 and a maximum payment of £1,915 per annum pro rata).
