About You

Above all, we’re looking for someone with great creative ideas and an ability to realise them to a high standard. You will be fluent in the Adobe suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, you will have a great eye for typography and a willingness to engage with its more technical aspects.

As the successful candidate, you will be working closely with the Creative Director and will be... involved in all aspects of project work from pitch to brief to realisation. You will be designing both for traditional media (print) and digital outputs (web, social media content, email marketing etc). You will attend client meetings and present your work both internally and to clients. As such, you will be comfortable in liaising with clients on the phone, in person and by email. Good written and verbal communication skills are important.

A knowledge of printing processes is highly desirable as is a basic understanding of the technical requirements and differences in designing for the screen vs print.

If you don’t feel entirely confident about any of the above, fear not! We will provide support and ongoing training to hone and progress both your creative and technical skills.

The ideal candidate will have:
• A portfolio of creative, original graphic design work, for print and digital, illustrating an aptitude for conceptual thinking
• Solid typographic skills

• An understanding of formatting for the screen/mobile devices and for print
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• An up to date understanding and interest in creative and design trends
• Research skills
• Good time management
• Willingness and confidence to engage with clients on the phone, in person and by email
• Ability to generate ideas and content in limited timeframes

Desirable but not essential:
• Video editing experience
• Knowledge of formatting for social media
• Photo retouching experience
• After Effects experience
• Basic Html, CSS

Please don’t be put off if you don’t tick every single box. Your work and character matter most to us. We will provide ongoing support and on-the-job training for all of the above, so if you have an exciting portfolio of work, and an eagerness to progress, drop us a line!

We are an equal opportunities employer. We embrace diversity and welcome applications from anyone who feels they fulfil the requirements of the role described. The role will be primarily office based but we offer flexible working and hybrid options wherever possible.
