The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) functions as an integral part of the healthcare team. Serves various roles, including working directly alongside faculty and staff, providing care to the entire spectrum of patient acuity levels, working semi-autonomously and serving as a provider to initiate appropriate care, including laboratory studies and/or imaging as indicated, at the front end of a patient's visit.
