SummaryEMR USA has an opening for an Manager trainee. The manager trainee will be trained in all aspects of the metal recycling industry. The manager trainee will spend at least a
year working in the yard learning the business from the ground up. The trainee will also shadow other managers to learn the management aspect of the position.
Ultimately, an outstanding manager trainee has a keen sense of business,
is a team player and possesses a strong work ethic.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Management Trainees will be trained in how to differentiate the various ferrous and
non ferrous metals. Yield and other details of the material will be explained and demonstrated.
• Management Trainees will be trained in the importance of quality control. Importance
will be placed on understanding hazardous materials and other items which cannot be accepted.
• Computer Training will be given to show the Management Trainee the methods in which
the customer information and items sold are captured within the database
system.
• Customer Service methods will be highlighted. The Management Trainee will be
expected to interact with all of our customers from the first moment of
the training period.

• Excellent team player; strong communications and interpersonal skills
• Must have proven leadership experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, self-starter, motivated individual
• Willingness to learn field positions to obtain operational experience.

· Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

· Knowledge of scrap metal commodities helpful.

· Ability to perform all physical, mental and environmental job functions

Ability to work in all elements such as rain, cold, and heat

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree or comparable work experience

Other Job Demands

While performing the essential functions of this job, the manager trainee will be working in an outdoor environment. The employee may be near moving mechanical parts and will be exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud and will
require ear protection. The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for
long periods of time. This job also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and
standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces.
