What You’ll Do
• Oversee daily operations for team of Recycling Specialists Manage Scheduling for internal and external team members
• Read and interpret basic architectural drawings
• Assist in the development plans for future expansion of the non-regulated waste management team
• Assist in negotiating commercial rates of scrap materials
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support the team to reach common goals
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to supervisors
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
• Physical activities: Work may require lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting
• Operating heavy equipment including cardboard bailers
What You’ll Bring
• Ability to work night shift
• 2+ years (or more) prior recycling, custodial or grounds maintenance experience
• Experience supervising team members in a similar operating environment
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Previous forklift operating experience preferred
• A commitment to excellence with regards to quality of work
• Excellent listening skills, organizational skills, and strong communications skills
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint)
• A strong work ethic, proven follow-through skills, and a “can-do” attitude are a must
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment under constantly changing priorities and demands
