A. Duties & Responsibilities

1. Summary of Job

·Design of mechanical and structural equipment for the mining industry e.g., conveyors, vibrating equipment, steel structures, chutes, and bins, etc.

2. Core Functions

Detail design and analysis of mechanical and structural equipment/ elements to comply with relevant design codes and standards.

· Development of construction and fabrication drawings

· Project scoping and planning.

· Data pack generation.

· Detailed technical report writing.

· Manufacturing support.

3. Minimum requirements

· BEng (Mechanical), BSc (Eng) (Mechanical).

· 0 - 3 years’ detail mechanical design/analysis and structural design/analysis experience.

· Drawing experience will be an advantage.

· Autodesk Advance Steel will be an advantage.

· Experience in 3D Modelling will be advantageous.

· Microsoft Office 365 competency.

· Advanced computer proficiency.

· Working in a consulting engineering environment is an advantage.

· Own transport a necessity.
