Department Information
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic software delivery team within the Equiniti IT Solution... Delivery Quality Assurance team in EQTek company. Equiniti IT build, maintain and support mission critical internal and customer-facing solutions supporting Share Registration, Employee Schemes and Share Dealing Administration software. The EQTek team are based in Krakow and this is a Krakow based role. Communication with delivery teams based in United States of America and India will also be required.
The core activities of the Equiniti IT QA Test Automation Engineer are: to design, plan, script and execute both manual and automated tests for a variety of internal and customer-facing solutions: to assist with the maintenance of the automation framework; to provide support to test teams in the use of the automation tools; and to ensure and maintain a level of quality excellence for all Equiniti Group products.
Role Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a credible QA test automation engineer with exemplary stakeholder management skills. The QA test automation engineer is focused on the delivery of quality software across all of the Equiniti product set. The holder of the role is to provide technical test solutions that supplement and enhance the manual testing efforts and is responsible for designing, creating, maintaining and executing functional and non-functional tests for both manual testing and automation.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the following activities:
• Understand the functional and technical requirements of the various products supported in order to prioritise the roll out of test automation.
• Understand requirements, design specifications and convert them into test scripts.
• Provide the creation and execution of automated test scripts.
• Analyse test results to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Create and maintain automation test libraries ensuring function ability as applications are modified.
• Responsible for logging and tracking defects, and will work closely with developers, project managers, and product managers to ensure quality testing is taking place in a timely manner.
• Provide effective communication to all stakeholders to support the delivery of the test activity.
• Maintain a high degree of knowledge on current technologies, tools and software test methodologies.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across Equiniti UK, Amsterdam and Equiniti India delivery teams.
• Adherence to all Regulatory, Security and Compliance requirements
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience skills and behaviours:
• Proven QA automation experience or understanding, in particular
• experience in system level testing using .NET, C#, Selenium, Specflow, XUnit/NUnit
• experience in REST services usage and testing (RestSharp, Postman)
• Understanding of automation frameworks and workflows, in particular
• designing tests based on mock-ups, specifications and acceptance criteria
• experience in version control systems (GIT, TFS)
• experience in continuous testing in Azure DevOps and/or Jenkins
• SQL scripting skills
• Experience of agile methodologies across multiple projects.
• Experience in use of defect management tools, in particular Team Foundation Server
• Experience in the financial sector preferred but not essential.
• Ability to communicate about IT and technology in plain-English and in non-technical terms to colleagues and Clients.
