Requirements

The Plan and Build Mainframe team is responsible, among other things, for the provision of the low-level software. This is installed, maintained and malfunctions / problems are fixed. The installations usually take place with SMP/E.

• Planning, installation and installation of updates of operating system-related software

• Check, maintenance and distribution of associated software keys

• Communication with software suppliers

• Creation and maintenance of system documentation

• Carrying out changes - distribution to customer systems

• On-call duty and weekend... assignments outside service hours

• Advising internal and external clients

• Support of IT operations as 3rd level support as part of the incident and problem management processes, coordination of root cause analysis and troubleshooting with the internal and external support units involved

Products from different manufacturers may be affected.

Quality requirement

Mainframe platform and interfaces

• Safe handling of mainframe basic tools: TSO, ISPF, JCL, SDSF, REXX, SMS, SMF, RACF

• Master mainframe processes (incident, change, problem management)

• Knowledge of the application and use of CICS, BMC XPEDITER/CICS, BMC Abend-AID for CICS and TICTOC from Can Do Systems

• Process knowledge of error analysis

• Safe application of installation basics (SMPE)

• Experience in dealing with the typical software products used under zOS and necessary for control

• Independent and structured way of working

Required Language Thresholds:

• English C1 and Spanish Native
