Description:
1) Plant operations:
. To maximize the effectiveness of production team, equipment, and materials to produce multi-line products within planned schedules while reducing costs.
. Identifying training needs and training personnel to improve technical problem-solving skill sets to improve independence in machine operation.
. Ensure the quality of the product is maintained, and operators follow the quality control procedures.
. Design, implement and audit production and quality control processes.
. Develop technical documents including instruction manuals and procedure manuals.
. Develop and ensure preventive maintenance is done as per the preventive maintenance schedule.
. Analyzing workers' capability matrix to focus on target areas and ensure proper training is provided.
. Manage activities related to strategic purchasing to minimize operating expenses.
. Assist with new cost quotes and price quotations for products.
. Promote teamwork among the people being supervised.
... Communicate to senior management regarding equipment performance and KPIs achievement.
. Review production reports and keep a check on waste and productivity figures of machines.
. Ensure operators and floor staff follow housekeeping procedures.
. In the absence of the production manager, take over the duties of the production manager.
. In the absence of Maintenance Incharge, take over the duties of the maintenance incharge.
2) Continuous Improvement:
. Develop and track cost improvement projects to reduce production costs.
. Foreseeing potential problems before they happen and reporting them.
. Optimize the manpower deployment in department to control overtime overheads, without compromising any delays on the agreed delivery schedules.
. Meet with adjusters to discuss daily, weekly, and monthly production schedule encompassing targets, schedule revisions and unplanned issues to achieve the assigned targets on allocated machines.
3) Workplace Safety:
. Ensure safe work environment through implementation of safety awareness programs and compliance with OHSA
