• Base salary range: $73,982 – $81,999 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About The Team

As part of Technical Services, you will join the Safety and Operations team. This team provides practical and applied specialist safety services to support the University’s research and teaching facilities and activities. This operational team spans across all university buildings, facilities, and units.

About The Opportunity

Reporting to the Team Leader (Safety and Operations), you will provide technical and safety expertise and support to staff and students for any practical activities or research. You will also work across all discipline areas to set up, modify and maintain the safe operation of specialist equipment, activities and facilities. In addition, you will effectively engage with clients and parties external to the University.

About You

To be considered for... this opportunity, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (or demonstrated equivalent competency) and substantial relevant technical experience at an appropriate level. You will have sound knowledge of occupational safety and health, WHS legislation and statutory requirements, and the ability to provide advice and work actions to clients.

Those with ability to teach and demonstrate practical skills or have experience in the delivery of induction/training courses are encouraged to apply.

Note : This position requires the appointee to be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and some after-hours work may be required.
