The Group Purchasing Department are looking to recruit an experienced buyer who as part of a team will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and... services across multiple divisions including but not limited to retail, engineering, catering, utilities stationary and estate.

Job Requirements
• Main purchasing category responsibilities relate to: Retail, with support to Catering, Utilities, Engineering and Stores as required.
• Retail Product Development - in line with MD's / Licensors / Retail Team overall brand expectations.
• Product quality must be Fit for Purpose. Quality should match or exceed a replacement product, unless an existing product has been shown to the budget holder as to be over specified.
• Forecasting. Ensure budget holders aware of high MOQs and projected usage, aim to hold no more than 2 years stock on a single line.
• Gateway for suppliers within the specified categories into the Pleasure Beach Departments.
• Costing analysis carried out in a traceable and auditable reporting format.
• Following best purchasing practice when offering advice on alternative options to other departments.
• Attend internal meetings: Purchasing & Stores Meeting, Retail, BOMM (shared).
• Attend licensing meetings: currently Nickelodeon, Aardman and Red Arrows/MOD.
• Produce and update reports on retail products such as: Buying Guide, Category Reviews, Licensors fee reports.
• Place orders for new products on retail. Repeat orders to be placed once set up by Stores where possible.
• Statistical analysis on pricing, volume, tenders etc.
• Trade shows attendance, mainly relating to Retail.
• Build relationships with external buying teams and the tourism market UK and Globally.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs of the business and work with in other categories such as Food, Print, Utilities.
