Kansas office.

Summary of Position:

Work in close collaboration with the Retail Operations team to ensure that the retail business at all company locations operates in an efficient, timely and seamless manner. This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, with some overtime and travel.

Responsibilities:
• Accurate and timely entry of all purchase orders
• Maintain inventory database and provide regular updates to management
• Accurate data entry for all related products
• Provide daily updates to retail team
• Maintain strong vendor relationships through positive and timely communications
• Understand and ensure that markups are correct
• Possess and increase product knowledge of Native American Collectibles and local product lines per location
• Ensure compliance with operational standards
• Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment
• Assist with inventory where and when required traveling to amazing places
• Other duties as may be assigned

Position Requirements:
• Ability to work independently and multi-task with little or no supervision
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact with multiple personality types in a positive and productive manner
• Excellent customer service and people skills
• Ability to provide creative input when problem-solving
• Intermediate Microsoft office skills, with an emphasis on Excel
• RetailPro or comparable POS skills
• Must be extremely organized with strong attention to details
• Ability to work some holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day, etc.)
• Ability to lift 25 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally (with assistance) and handle physical exertion involving bending, twisting and squatting

Education and Experience:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Retail sales, merchandising or warehouse experience; Point of sale system experience

Differentiation between the Junior Buyer and Senior Buyer positions depends upon experience and ability to handle various tasks.

Experience:
• Retail Gifts buying: 3 years (Preferred)
• Retail Sales: 3 years (Preferred)
