Become a Strategic Senior Advisor at SCE and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will report directly to the Director of Advanced Energy Solutions (AES) in Customer Programs & Services (CP&S) to provide special project and analytical support to address the most pressing and complex questions affecting the Energy Efficiency portfolio, covering topics including how to improve the 3rd party contract model, how to balance the portfolio across markets and customer segments, and how to ensure the portfolio meets its California Public Utility Commission obligations.

• Providing hands-on special project support for AES portfolio-level initiatives that require complex analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and strong thought leadership
• Performing portfolio level analyses to uncover opportunities to improve performance
• Performing complex analytical work to support decision-making on proposing, amending, re-structuring, and terminating contracts
• Solving and addressing AES portfolio gaps
• Developing clear action plans
• Preparing materials needed to inform SCE Leadership of changes and updates a key governance forums
• Leading valuation modeling and optimization exercises
• Translating statistical analysis into digestible output and materials
• Collaborating closely with CP&S division management changes under review to inform SCE Leadership
• Providing support on existing contractual agreements
• Addressing questions regarding contract language
• Reviewing and clarifying key program requirements and needs
• Acting as contract expert during program launches
• Identifying and executing on continuous improvement activities across AES for optimized efficiency
Qualifications
The Essentials
• 10 or more years of experience in organizational programs and/or contract management
• Five or more years of project management experience leading medium to large scale full-cycle projects
The Preferred
• Proficient knowledge of IOU-led programs
• Proficient knowledge of working with or leading requests for proposals (RFPs)
• Thorough knowledge of Energy Efficiency policies, objectives, strategies, goals, applicable governmental and regulatory laws and requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills with hypothesis driven approach
• Strong oral/written and influential communication skills, including presentation skills to effectively communicate and interact with personnel at all levels.
You should know
• This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
