About The Role

The Supply Chain Manager is a new role for Redpath Australia and is responsible for ensuring Redpath Australia’s purchasing, inventory and logistics are managed efficiently. The role involves working closely with the Plant & Asset team, Operations team and external suppliers.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to –
• Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with vendors and foster relations with suppliers;
• Review contracts/agreements to ensure compliance with law and company policy and negotiate terms;
• Manage personnel within the purchasing and expediting process to ensure business objectives... are met;
• Identify slow moving and obsolete inventory and develop strategies to deal with;
• Explore processes and freight options that represent cost savings to the company.

We are looking for
• Previous experience (5 years min) in an inventory management/logistics role;
• Strong commercial understanding with ability to negotiate;
• Experienced in the leadership of small teams;
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) including Microsoft Excel skills;
• Exceptional attention to detail and exposure to deadlines;
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
• A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely.
