Community Partnership Personnel are proud to be recruiting for a Support Worker for an established provider of affordable housing in Gloucester and surrounding areas. As a Support Worker, you will work alongside young people to provide housing related support with the objective of supporting them into independent living. Overview:-To cover Gloucestershire
• Negotiable hourly rate - Minimum £15.00 per hour.
• Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Ongoing contract (Minimum 3 months)
• Immediate start The main duties of the Support Worker include:
• Provide contact, advice and guidance to young service users within temporary accommodation and community settings
• Support new and existing service users to sustain tenancies and live independently
• Work with residents to maximise income through job and benefit applications
• Assist residents in the bidding and application process for long term tenancies
• Liaise with external organisations to present training and employment... opportunities to service users The successful Support Worker will have:
• Knowledge of welfare benefits, housing, and tenancy management
• Experience supporting vulnerable service users
• Exposure to supporting people into education, training and employment
