We have a vacancy in our Tax Division for an experienced Tax Compliance Officer to manage a portfolio of tax clients.

You will need to have... an excellent knowledge of the Taxation legislation as well as the ability to practically apply this knowledge.
Duties and responsibilities (but not limited to)

Preparation and submission of Individual, Corporate, and Trust income tax returns.
Compilation of provisional tax estimates and returns.
Completion of IT 14 SDs
Objections, queries and attend to general SARS correspondence.
Tax clearance applications.
Debt arrangements.
Statutory registrations.
Completion and submission of dividends tax returns and other withholding tax submissions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technically competent i.e., knowledge of the Income Tax Act.
Knowledge of how SARS functions
Ability to multi-task
Good people and communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Thorough knowledge of tax and data capture software
Comprehensive computer literacy
Ability to work well under pressure
Good presentation and communication skills
Good time management and delegation skills
Good motivational skills

Requirements

Educational level Required:
BCom degree
Post Graduate Diploma in Tax would be advantageous

Required Experience:
SAICA or SAIPA articles would be advantageous
Minimum - 3 years of work experience in a similar role
Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act
Experience in e-Filing, easyfile and CaseWare, TaxWare or Similar Tax programme
