The Role:

We are seeking a Software Developer in Test to join our team and take ownership of quality assurance in our software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PHP unit tests and automated tests through CI/CD, as well as experience working with Cypress.

Key tasks:
• Develop and maintain PHP... unit tests for our software applications, APIs, and services.
• Work closely with development teams to understand technical requirements and provide feedback on designs and testability improvements.
• Set up and maintain automated test infrastructure for integration, functional, and end-to-end tests.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications.
• Establish best practices for test case management, test execution, and defect tracking.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure successful deployment and monitoring of automated tests.
• Continually monitor and track test coverage and performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize the testing process.
• Participate in code reviews and feature development to ensure quality at the source.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in quality assurance and software testing.

Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in software development, software testing, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in PHP unit tests and experience setting up automated test infrastructure through CI/CD.
• Proficiency in testing web applications using Cypress or a similar framework.
• Experience in automated testing of RESTful API endpoints.
• In-depth understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, including Agile and Continuous Integration.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Able to work collaboratively with development and operations teams to resolve issues and improve quality.
• Familiar with the software development lifecycle and software testing methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiar with database systems (MySQL, MariaDB) and SQL syntax.
• Experience with Linux command-line and shell scripts.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
