We are looking for a candidate to take up the role of Landside Transportation Execution Assistant in Cotonou, Benin. The position holder is going to manage all matters in accordance with customs / Tax regulations and processes, classify products according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), and receive and review documentation.

He/She will also input and transmit data in ASYCUDA for the shipment customs clearance, audit CHB files to ensure compliance, billing/entry accuracy, and timeliness, track, and trace shipments, and coordinate with airlines, shipping lines, and freight forwarders on the availability of imported... shipments, and finally arrange with trucking companies the pick-up and delivery of freight solutions to simplify and expedite cargo flow.

Key responsibilities:
• Deliver timely and accurate completion of all Import & Export declarations and Transit Movements.
• Deliver timely and accurate execution of all financial activities relevant to CHB.
• Design process gaps and be actively involved in working on improvements to key processes to improve productivity and service levels to get on time
• To be an active team member who will exchange knowledge and expertise.
• Develop Customs products to expand the portfolio, market footprint, and generation of additional revenue
• Ensure all Customer needs are met or exceeded, within our Compliance Controls,
• Maintain a first-class business relationship with all customers and internal stakeholders
• Develop and execute cost savings plans together with Vendor Management Team to deliver the most attractive cost profile while maintaining excellent standards of safety and reliability
• Liaise and prepare transport plans with suppliers, including the identification of triangulation opportunities within and across brands.

Main Requirements:
• 2 years of experience in logistics and Transportation
• A fluent level in French and at least a conversational level in English is a MUST.
• A Bachelor's or a Master's degree in logistics.
• Good knowledge and expertise in Mc package (Excel, Outlook...).
• knowledge of Customs is an advantage
• Proactivity, problem-solving, Communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Operation, Transit, and Export and Import Management.
