We're looking for a Packaging Engineer, working in the Automotive & Assembly industry in Toledo, Ohio, United States.
• Perform projects to reduce packaging material, processing, distribution, and damage costs.
• Resolve complex product and packaging issues.
• Develop and apply graphic design elements and product.
• Identify standards for packaging materials.
• Coordinate packaging requirements with plants, other departments, sources, and customers.
• Stay current on new technology and new developments.
• Apply high quality network/synchronous organization and lean strategies to achieve process improvement and promote teamwork. Experience Required for Your Success
• Bachelor's Degree in Packaging or other related technical area
• 0-2 years of experience required.
• Expert knowledge of Testing, Design, Packaging processes
• Knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge with Lotus Notes or other email communication tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well with a team.
• Ability to partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to create blueprints and technical drawings
