Job Responsibilities
• Create and design the ‘world’s first’ Optical and Vision IOT Devices for acquisition of gemstone appearance and optical properties for AI-driven computer vision applications
• Produce engineering deliverables including drawings, BOM, parts cost, components data-sheets, technical specification, 3D models, assembly instructions, testing standards/procedures, design compliance codes, jig/tools/fixture/mould design etc; from Concept to DFMA -design, for manufacturing of prototypes to final commercial products and its iterations
• Create preliminary artistic drawings in the form of illustrations and storyboards of product concepts, present them to stakeholders and creatively use the feedback to refine product design
• Oversee new products testing in compliance to design specifications and analyse its results
• Define UI/UX on products and remote controllers/control panel and ideate CMF solutions that convey a brand identity and produce compellingly desirable products
• Set-up and maintain an internal PDM system to manage the entire product design lifecycle and ensuring that product data is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to all stakeholders, including designers, engineers, manufacturers and vendors
• Conduct research and product development projects using internal gatekeeping process, prepare project and user requirements specifications, execute experiments and investigations, document and report findings, communicate to key stakeholders, and handover to downstream teams
• Work collaboratively with an entrepreneurial team of product engineers, software/AI-engineers, manufacturing engineers and vendors to successfully deliver cutting edge products within tight deadlines
• Act as the subject matter expert for design and engineering of IOT Devices, supporting various technical challenges across all BPH 200 product categories

Required Qualifications And Profile
• Diploma or Bachelor degree in mechatronics, mechanical, industrial engineering or related field
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience in industrial product design, preferably in semiconductor or consumer product manufacturing environment
• Proven skills in usage of CAD Solidworks, 2D/3D CAD and PDM-systems
• Knowledge in applying GD&T principles and drafting standards
• Experience in CMF finishing applications for consumer electronics
• Possess mechatronics experience in development of complete systems that consisted of controllers, servo, step motors, sensors, vision and optical systems
• Have a good understanding of product realization process from development to production
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork, project management and vendor leadership skills
