Educational Background:

1. Bachelor/Master degree in Science (Physics), Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from premier academic institutions OR

2. Master degree in Engineering with work experience in inventions related to Metallurgical and Materials Engineering

Desired skills & Experience:

a) In-depth knowledge in preparing and prosecuting patent applications spanning between 4-6 years in R&D/law firm set up.

b) Patent Agent Registration with the Indian Patent Office

c) Candidate must have a degree in any Engineering or Master in Science and worked on inventions related to civil and construction.

d) Excellent command over the English language (written & verbal)

Roles & Responsibilities:

§ Preparing IP opinions (patentability, FTO, invalidity)

§ Providing insightful analysis of search results from various sources

§ Keep an eye on technology, competition and geography through patent watches and disseminating the insights from patent watches to R&D and Business

§... Drafting patent specifications for India

§ Adapting Indian priority filing for PCT, EPO and beyond

§ Drafting and handling response to office actions in India and overseas and all other compliance requirements as per the applicable patent law.

§ Assisting in patent oppositions and providing technical support to the enforcement activities through research and analysis of recent cases etc.
