What Does Ynet Data department do?

Ynet is the leading online news app and website in Israel. Our goal is to offer real time braking news and interesting content for all Audiences in Israel and Jewish community worldwide.

The data department is a key department in ‘Yedioth Aharonot group’ and is in charge of supporting the decision-making processes by creating complex models and predictions, data visualization, content optimization, ad optimization and commercial initiatives in the group.

We partner with the leading tech companies such as Google and Taboola using the most advanced platforms for data integration and visualization to support all sites in the group.

What does a Data Analyst do?

The Data Analyst plays a key role in the data integration process. He will be the sole owner of several key platforms and will oversee their maintenance.

The Data Analyst will deliver insights and recommendations for Ynet and Yediot Group’s commercial and... Editorial units and external and internal partners.

Focusing on analysis and research of Google Analytics, Google ad manager, Taboola and other instrumental tools for Ynet’s ongoing activity.

The Data Analyst is a hands-on professional, who is expected to be the organizational go-to-person of the group in analytics and optimization technical implementation.

What do you need to bring?
• Proven experience in Google Analytics and Google Tag manager for at least 1.5 years, with proven track record of analyzing data to generate business insights.
• Understanding the data landscape, Data collection, Data deployment, and profiling.
• Experience in managing data from BigQuery or other Cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with Google DataStudio \ Power BI.
• Passion for optimization and ability to use various tools to impact business decisions and improve product effectiveness.
• Having a solid understanding of digital advertising.
• Team player Experience working with R&D teams, marketing teams.
• Experience with Facebook or google ad-manager.
• Ability to manage multi-tasks and drive them to completion. Independent thinker, identify business questions, trends, and opportunities, Communicating insights to senior management and across the organization
