Job Summary
The Manager, Environmental Programs is responsible for ensuring effective oversight and monitoring of regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and that standardized procedures and guidelines are followed for Environmental compliance and preventative activities. The role handles the overall management of the... Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) digital platform to support structured inspection, preventative maintenance, and corrective actions for tanks, fuelling systems and wastewater equipment in accordance with applicable regulations, permits and due diligence requirements. Furthermore, the position oversees the management of other compliance requirements such as wastewater, stormwater, waste, construction management and other regulations, permit and policy compliance obligations in Enablon.
Main Responsibilities
• Handle the EHS digital platform and Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) to support structured inspection and preventative maintenance programs
• Handle the compliance requirements for wastewater, stormwater, waste, and other compliance needs
• Handle compliance requirements for permits, polices, and conditions for capacity improvement and construction management
• Lead the Environmental Program Officer and Environmental Consultants to ensure consistent and effective implementation, deployment and administration of compliance and maintenance monitoring requirements
• Interface regularly with the Environmental Senior Management team to resolve and recommend effective and continuous improvement of compliance and environmental performance requirements
• Oversee, with support from the Environmental Performance team, the development and preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training material for end users handling inspection and compliance obligations
• Handle constraints and assumptions to ensure successful management of compliance and environmental performance requirements
• Identify best practices, enhancements, and opportunities for improvement for all Information and Technology (I&T) Systems supporting Environmental management (e.g., Enablon, ENFOS, SAP)
• Work in collaboration with I&T on the development of tools and enhancements to support continuous improvement for all I&T systems
• Participate in the career development of peers and the Environmental Program Officer (e.g., providing technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring)
Working Conditions
The role is performed in a combination of office and outdoor environment with various types of weather conditions with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress. The role requires occasional travel (up to 30%) within Canada and the United States (U.S.)
Requirements Experience
Environmental Data Management
• Between 5 to 10 years of in environmental data management for compliance requirements and performance measurement
• Experience in the implementation, deployment, and administration of data management solutions
• Experience with environmental software implementation in an industrial and or consulting environment
Education/Certification/Designation
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Science, Business Technology Management, or related field

• Fluently bilingual, written and verbal (English, French)*
• Any knowledge for any of the above would be considered as an asset
