Your responsibilities
• Ensuring daily activities of accounting operation to include monthly, quarterly, and annual close of the legal entity.
• Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) – responsible for the business planning and analysis to include budget, forecast, variance analysis and Mid-Term-Plan for the legal entity.
• Treasury functions to include cash management and forecasting, working capital optimization.
• Statutory audit and compliance of all tax reporting and filing requirements.
• Monitoring financial performance of South Africa to include product costing and analysis of variations.
• Financial reporting and presentation of the same to the South Africa Leadership Team.
• Implementation of policies and procedures to ensure proper controls are in place according to IFRS and local country requirements.
• Management of Capital Budget for South Africa.
• Manage all legal interactions with third parties, authorities, etc. when needed with the support of corporate and external legal advisers.
• Provide leadership for the local Finance team.
Your profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Master is a plus
• CA is advantageous but not a must
• 10+ years of experience in Finance and Controlling in a multinational manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical industry, with a minimum 3-5 years people manager role in Finance
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP or ROSS or similar integrated systems
• In-depth knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS requirements
• Strong analytical skills and experience with tools like MS Excel, etc.
• Team player, hands-on-mentality and proactiveness
