About the role:

We’re looking for our next Accounts Receivable Accountant to join the Finance Team in Taiwan. To succeed, you will need to be a goal-oriented, highly accurate team player and will help Edpuzzle continue to build a high-performing Finance organization. To succeed, you will need to be a master of organization with strong attention to detail and achieving a month-end close... deadline. Your drive to exceed performance expectations will contribute to efficiency and reduction of the month-end close cycle.

About the job:
• Payment applications - enter customer payments in accounting system and accurately within the same day
• Manage customer check payments in our lockbox
• Manage customer payments that received in our bank account such as ACH, credit card and wire transfer
• Contact customers, AR team members and Sales team immediately to resolve any issues
• Reconcile customer accounts
• Manage documents
• Manage correspondences in our lockbox
• Manage remittance advices
• Manage customer refund and credit memo process
• Submit requests with valid supporting documents for approval
• Manage customer account information
• Check any discrepancies and maintain accuracy of customer information
• Collaborate with accounting team members and Sales team
• Provide month-end close assistance as assigned
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the management such as billing and collection
• Assist with billing:
• Collect necessary documents for billing purposes
• Review quote, POs and create invoices
• Send invoices to customers
• Work closely with Sales team
• Asist with collection
• Manage outstanding AR collection process
• Manage customer payment inquiries
• respond to customer inquiries via email
• respond to customer inquiries via Zendesk

About you:
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in accounting is required
• Bachelor’s degree in managerial accounting or accountancy
• Computer literacy is essential including but not limited to MS Word, Outlook and Excel
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies
• Ability to follow accounting standard, company policies and procedures
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, balance workload independently and meet deadlines
• Must be a dependable team player with a positive attitude and result-oriented
• Must have internet connection (landline not mobile) of 20 Mbps or faster
• Ability to support working hours between 8am - 5pm US Pacific Timezone

Bonus skills:
• Prior experience with QuickBooks accounting system and Salesforce
• Experience in SaaS or an edtech company
• Experience working with remote teams
• Extremely deadline driven and exceptional ability to deliver results on time
