We are looking for a talented children's book illustrator to create a captivating cover and engaging illustrations for a new children's book, "The Little Astronaut's Guide to the Planets." The illustrator will need to adapt characters from a provided picture and incorporate them into the cover and relevant pages of the book...

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the author and team to understand the vision for the book and characters

- Create a visually appealing and age-appropriate cover for the book

- Develop illustrations for each relevant page, bringing the story to life and enhancing the reader's experience

- Ensure that illustrations are consistent in style, quality, and character design throughout the book

- Provide final illustrations in a format suitable for print and digital publishing

- Meet project deadlines and communicate any potential delays or issues with the team

- Revise illustrations based on feedback from the author or team, as necessary

Requirements:

- Proven experience as an illustrator, particularly in children's books

- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of styles and exceptional character design skills

- Ability to adapt characters from a provided picture and integrate them into illustrations seamlessly

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Proficiency in illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator or similar.

- Knowledge of book layout and design principles

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Amazon KDP or other self-publishing platforms

- Familiarity with print production processes and preparing files for print
