Job Title: Network Support Specialist

Location: Belgrade, Serbia (hybrid/remote)

Position Summary

Ciena L2 SmartHands provides broad-based technical and administrative support to field personnel at large enterprise and service provider customers (SP). L2 team is designed to serve as main tool and knowledge base for NCR field engineers working on Ciena optical fiber equipment, usually in cooperation with service providers and vendors (like AT&T NOC, Comcast and other NOC teams).

Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Monitoring and responding appropriately to incoming dispatch requests and email communication
• Closely working with other NCR teams supporting Ciena to ensure SLA is... meet
• Preparing the engineers for upcoming dispatches and assisting during the ongoing ones
• Providing technology/product training, intellectual property material and internal documentation/procedures as required
• Creating documentation to assist with Ciena related tasks
• Providing guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers/colleagues
• Providing support mainly for US market and, occasionally, LATAM and EMEA

Basic Qualifications:
• Full business proficiency in English
• Analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve product and network problems of moderate complexity
• Excellent documentation skills for case management and knowledge capture
• Ability to work in team environment in 24/7 and On-Call format

Preferred Qualifications:
• Network related certification is not essential, but would be plus
• Familiarity with Ciena or other fiber optic equipment in general
