Rumst HR Manager (European Logistics Center)

In this role you will be a member of the Rumst Leadership team and proactively partner with the Site Leader and Leadership Team to align HR strategies and policies with current and future goals. You will also manage the HR team for the site and facilitate the relationship with the Works Council.

About the role:

You will be... required to lead a broad range of human resources processes and be responsible for overall operational effectiveness and compliance with company policies and applicable legislation. You will be establishing strategies with business leaders to select and retain the diverse talent required to maintain a competitive advantage and to align with recruiting strategies. You will also:
• Communicate and consult on all areas of human resources including compensation, benefits, staffing, organizational development, employee relations, and performance management in alignment with common human resources strategies and processes;
• Collaborate with business leadership (local and international) to translate current and future business goals and develops initiatives and tactics to meet business objectives;
• Resolve conflicts and provides coaching and counselling on human resources matters for functional or organizational leadership;
• Provide employee development expertise, support systems and processes focused on continuous learning and knowledge sharing;
• Ensure compliance with key government legislative requirements and adherence to human resources policies and procedures;
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of workforce information in human resources information systems;
• Coach and mentor direct reports; assign work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assess performance and provide feedback to direct reports.

About you:

You will ideally have Human Resource Management background and experience within a manufacturing or logistics environment, however if you enjoy and can evidence a high level of HR Business Partnering, attention to details, resiliency, and strong communication skills along with an interest in being the part of global organization, we’d love to hear from you. Here are some of the other skills and competencies we’d like you to have:
• BA and / or MA degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field;
• 10 years of experience in HR domain with 3 years in HR Manager / HR BP position;
• Strong knowledge of Belgium Labour legislation;
• Experience in managing labour issues within manufacturing / logistics domains with 300 headcounts;
• HR Business Partnering experience, stakeholder management skills and experience in working with Unions;
• Leadership skills: proven experience in guiding, coaching and managing the team;
• Ability to work autonomously as well as together with the team;
• Fluency in Dutch and English, as this is our main business language along with any other languages.
