We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. As Senior Accountant, you will work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and implementation of internal controls. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage... multiple tasks simultaneously.

What You'll Do:
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and company policies
• Support the Head of Financein the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and accounts
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Support the annual audit process, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk
• Provide support for ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed

What You Bring:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a technology or software company
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience with general ledger accounting systems and advanced proficiency in Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team

Location Information: Most of our team works in a hybrid style in Vancouver, British Columbia. But we are also open to fully office-based and remote employees who can commit to operating our core hours and traveling to our Vancouver office quarterly. In addition, we offer relocation support if candidates are open and interested in moving to Vancouver.
