We are looking for a result-driven Marketing Manager to join the Marine Power Marketing team to manage and drive business unit-related marketing strategies for the Parts Services business unit, in line with the Marine Power strategy.

As Marketing Manager, Parts Services you will be marketing and generating demand and growth for spare parts- and maintenance services offering to the wide customer base operating Wärtsilä assets. You need to be an excellent team player to liaise with... key partners, and also be highly independent in conducting your duties in an agile manner. You need to be creative and efficient in hands-on content creation, and digitally savvy with the ability to translate value propositions into commercially appealing customer benefits and messaging, based on a deep customer understanding and knowledge of the marine market.

In this position, you will act as the main contact point for the Marine Power business unit of Parts Services and collaborate with the high-performing teams within the Marine Power Marketing and other business-critical functions within Wärtsilä.

The position is located preferably in Helsinki, Finland, but other Wärtsilä locations in Europe are also possible. The position holder will report to General Manager, BU & Solutions Marketing.

We expect you as part of the team to:
• Create, own, drive and report the success of marketing activities in coordination with and in support of the Parts Services Business Unit.
• Plan, budget and execute product and solution launches by translating the technical features and information into commercially appealing content and communicating the value in an inspiring and convincing way to markets in line with Marine Power Business strategy.
• Design and implement data-driven growth marketing initiatives and demand generation activities in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders using omni-channel approach and manage the nurture journey of opportunities with sales teams.
• Develop and produce marketing content for customer journey touchpoints in collaboration with the team, stakeholders, and external marketing agencies including copy and visuals for sales collaterals, web content, ads, articles, reference stories, white papers, videos, webinars etc.
• Deploy, follow up and report the success of the marketing activities in close collaboration with the Marketing Operations team
• Identify & respond to market issues and trends relevant to the business, and develop messaging & marketing value propositions accordingly
• Support thought leadership, media and PR activities for all Marine Power-related stories.

What it takes to be successful in this role?
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or similar fields preferred
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in marketing, communications, or related work, preferably in an international B2B environment
• Project management & coordination skills and ability to get things done with a focus on quality and on-time delivery
• Creative, yet analytical & structured
• Skilled in content creation and working with agencies
• Experience with digital tools, technologies, and platforms
• Excellent management, communication, and decision-making skills particularly with senior business leaders
• Experience in working with cross-functional and -cultural teams and multiple departments
• Love working with engineers and understanding marine markets
• Curious to learn and eager to share your experience with others
• Team player and goal orientated
• Fluent in English
