The Role

Both the Child Protection Worker and Field Worker roles are more than a job. Working alongside families and Community organisations, you will help families to build safety and support around children and young people. The Opportunity

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for fixed term or permanent vacancies that may arise within the next 12 months, in any of the Goldfield offices; Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Leonora or Laverton.

Under our Child Protection Workforce Model, priority will be given to qualified applicants in the first instance to maintain a qualified workforce. Should a qualified applicant not be identified then this selection process will be used to fill the vacancy.

If you have a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology or relevant human services area, please apply for the [qualified title] position.

If you do not hold an approved qualification, please apply for the [non-qualified title] position.

Qualification Requirements

You cannot be considered for this position unless you have a completed university degree in:
• Bachelor of Social Work
• Bachelor of Psychology or
• relevant Human Services area.

NOTE: If you have a relevant Human Services qualification you will need to supply unit descriptions/summaries for assessment against the Qualifications Framework.

All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency. Each qualification must be assessed individually, and the assessment must confirm the equivalent Australian qualification level (i.e. equivalent to a Bachelors or Masters degree). This assessment can be conducted by Overseas Qualification Unit or AASW, and the outcome evidence provided at the time of applying.
