About the Job
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Developing and maintain trusted relationships with patient advocacy groups by identifying common goals and areas of collaboration focused on patients’ needs
• Monitors legislative and political environment, in order to identify early enough threats and opportunities for the business
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of policy stakeholders (government, influencers, advocacy organizations), trends, and current events;
• Manage media coverage and engagement. Strengthen the company’s media network including but not limited to healthcare, medical and consumer media.
• Brand communications – working closely with the marketing team to devise integrated marketing communication activities to raise public awareness on the priority diseases for Sanofi Taiwan and the treatment options
• Story-telling – ability to identify interesting news angle out of patient testimonials, disease prevalence or company development; and turn them into interesting stories... for the media to build the Sanofi brand
• Planning, managing defensive strategy during crisis situation, in order to minimize the opportunity of damage company image
• Manage internal cross-functional collaborations. Ensure full compliance with all corporate, industry and regulatory guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Sanofi employee must understand of own roles and responsibilities in avoiding health risk (Health), preventing accidents (Safety) and environment protection (Environment). Involved in any such activities must comply with HSE policy
About You
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, PR or Marketing
• 8-10 years of working experience in media or PR agency
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry or PR agency will be an advantage
Experience & knowledge:
• Good understanding of media industry and strong network with the media
• Excellent writing skills – both Chinese & English
• Good business acumen and experience in managing brands of different categories
Core competencies /skills:
• Ability to influence others, build strategic relationships with both internal and external stakeholders (such as media, patient representatives, NGOs, business unit heads and professional associations)
• Strong in execution, task prioritization and management of complex projects that require multi-stakeholders engagement and cross-functional support.
