My client, a well-established international tour operator has an exciting opportunity for a Flights Specialist with a vibrant personality and a minimum of two years working experience as a specialist tour operator in a similar role.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Experience in Amadeus Reservations skills
• Experience in issuing, re-issuing and performing re-calculations of international and domestic airlines
• Ability to work in a fast passed environment
• Experience In booking worldwide travel requirements
• Working knowledge of IATA and currency regulations
• Strong attention to details
• GDS Fares and Ticketing Qualification
• Fares Qualification BA 1 & 2

Duties will include, but not limited to:
• Issue automated EMDs (Electronic Miscellaneous Documents) to pay for deposits, seat reservations, excess baggage etc
• Support Sales Teams with complex flight requirements.
• Advise fares (nett and published) to departments on a... daily basis and schedule queries.
• Read, understand, and apply fare rules as per airline contracts . Understanding the terminology associated with the rules and fare notes.
• Request group seats/rates for ad-hoc tours and all allocations.
• Constantly review reservations system in regards to ensuring all ticketing data is correct and identifying ways to improve the sales and administration functions.
• Check BSP Link on a weekly basis for correspondence. Action/check any ADMs (Agency Debit Memo) / ACMs (Agency Credit Memo), including querying any ADMs.
• Ensure all flight information on customer documentation is accurate and current.
• Action ADM and Amadeus queues.
• Book airline seats on-line and in GDS.
• On a rota basis, provide on call out of hours assistance with flight emergencies.
• Load and maintain fares management contracts in reservations system (iVector), including loading and updating notes for passenger documents.
