Our client, a manufacturer in the food industry located in Concord, Ontario is looking to hire Junior Machine Operators for a full time opportunity to start immediately.

Your tasks as the Machine Operator:
• Assemble, set up, calibrate and run equipment and machinery according to daily production processing requirements and other applicable Standard Operating Procedures
• Ensure accurate setup and programming of machinery, troubleshooting and making adjustments where necessary
• Actively support the Lead hands and Supervisors
• Monitor and control various manufacturing variables such as pH, temperature, sampling, texture to ensure consistent quality of products being produced.
• Coordinate and facilitate any line changes to purge and clean product, as required
• Ensure... and validate all tools, materials, and product coding are correct, prior to being utilized.
• Ensure all machines and work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
• Other duties assigned

The required qualifications of the Machine Operator:
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in similar role in the past
• Interested, willing, and able to make a long term commitment to full time work
• Completion of high school diploma preferred; completion of a post-secondary program in food technology or a related area an asset
• Good communication skills in English (written and verbal), and good mathematical aptitude
• Hardworking and dedicated
• Have the ability to lift up to 22kg/ 50 lbs and the ability and interest to work in a variety of environments including room temperature, cold, hot, as well as wet environments
• Ability to perform work and carry out duties with minimal supervision
