Hyatt Regency Tashkent was opened in 2016 and presents 300 guest rooms in downtown Tashkent. The prestigious hotel offers 2 restaurants, a bar and significant event facilities. Tashkent is the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the most cosmopolitan city in Uzbekistan. Tree-lined streets and picturesque green areas surround the hotel. Within close distance are various government offices, hotels, shops and restaurants, foreign embassies, landmarks and tourist attractions. Immediatelyadjacentto the Hotel is the National Library.Currently we are looking for a talented and out sandingItalian Chef de Cuisine for ourlovely Italian Restaurant Sette which is located on the 7th floor of our hotel. Please... review the scope of job below for more information. Scope of Job: In this role you as an Italian /Mediterranean Chef de Cuisine will directly reportto the Head Chef. Yourresponsibilities will be tomanage Italian Restaurantas a successful independent profit center, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction in consistent with Hyatt Regency Tashkent and Hyatt Hotels Corporation Standards Policies & Procedures, through planning, organizing, directing and controlling the restaurantoperations for the hotel.You will strive to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction, and to maximize the financial performance of the hotel, while ensuring that standards and procedures are consistently being followed. Your specific duties in this role will include: To assist maintain the culinary standards for the outlet, overseeing the consistent implementation of the approved menu and training the associates as necessary in the preparation and presentation of each and every item; To assist in creating special menus, suggest alternatives, meet specific customer requests and interact with customers to meet and exceed their culinary expectations; To monitor all outlet kitchen operations, especially during peak business periods, working alongside the other culinary associates and making adjustments where necessary; To ensure that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented, and that optional brand standards have been implemented where appropriate; To work closely with other management and supervisory personnel in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests; To make sure that all associates are up to date with the availability of seasonal and new products on the market; To taste and monitor the food products served, providing feedback and adjusting where appropriate; To work closely with the Stewarding Manager to ensure that hygiene standards are maintained and that operating equipment is cared for to maximize its useful life and to minimize breakage; To work with the Materials Manager in the procurement of the best product for the best price and in the management of the relevant areas of the Commissary Kitchen; To liaise with the Engineering manager to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and cared for; To assign responsibilities to subordinates, implementing Multi-Tasking principle and to check their performance periodically; To implement a flexible scheduling based on business patterns; And other additional tasks that will be directlygiven by Head Chef; Qualifications Previous experience preferably with experience in luxury international brandsas a Mediterranean or ItalianChef de Cuisine or Sous Chefminimum 3 years isrequired; Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential; Fluency in English & Russian languages; Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications are required; University/College degree in a related discipline preferred; Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities; Highly responsible & reliable; Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment; Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times; Position is considered for a single package only
