Do you want to further drive Arla’s corporate sustainability ambitions with regards to environment and climate impact? And have a key role in our Agriculture and Sustainability Centre of Excellence (CoE) working closely together with internal and external stakeholders on our “on farm” R&D projects which are instrumental to Arla succeeding with our strategy?

This is a newly established role where you will be responsible for managing a pipeline of R&D initiatives related to our sustainability strategy, with a special emphasis of actions to be matured and piloted with our farmer owners. You set the framework for and assist colleagues who are subject matter experts on climate, environment and animal welfare measures, on how to structure, process, document and manage projects. You will be leading the work to create an effective governance structure to organize our R&D sustainability pipeline and you will be... creating a clear and coherent communication of priorities and commercialization of our R&D engagements. You will report directly to the VP of the Agriculture and Sustainability CoE.

The area of responsibility involves:
Maintaining overview of project pipeline (from R&D to implementation) incl. results and gaps based on input from content leads Communicating pipeline and roadmap overview to internal steering committees Managing/facilitating interactions for cross company-collaboration and with other external stakeholders Managing internal link to our Innovation Farm Lead, incl. input for and communication of pipeline, as well as commercial leads Develop new data sharing agreement to enable selective data sharing with partners and develop guidelines for what data to share with who and why Facilitating innovation ‘gate’ meetings to determine which R&D efforts to prioritize for further development Maintaining a cross-market overview of relevant funds and applications in relation to R&D activities

Who are you?

We are looking for a strong leader with a solid background and expertise within environment, climate and sustainability. You will be overseeing a large number of key projects and thus needs to have experience in leading internal and external stakeholders and partners on sustainability, specifically environment and climate.

We furthermore imagine that you have:
documented experience as lead of large-scale projectsin a complex set up.Ideally you have worked in an innovation environment with international scope. strong strategic and analytical skills combined with a global and outgoing mindset that enables fact-based recommendations to management for decision making, showing initiative and determination in a fast-paced environment. a natural ability to structure complex work and ensure consistent and timely tracking of progress and performance a curious, proactive mindset and use your good stakeholder management skills to navigate within a large matrix organization. You are a good at communicating clearly and building personal relations across internal organizational levels. Have a proven track record on influencing without authority and ability to inspire and create followership around shared agenda through inspiring and compelling communication skills.
