You will help build and sustain the finest military aircraft in the world in our Aeronautics business area in Fort Worth, TX.

This position is for a non-metallic materials engineer working in the Fort Worth Materials and Processes (M&P) Common Services group. Program ties will be to the F-35, F-22 and F-16 Programs.

Materials and Processes (M&P) responsibilities include:

1) Providing non-metallic materials support to domestic and foreign co-producers

2) Applying knowledge of adhesives and bonding surface preparation techniques.

3) Reviewing engineering Build To Packages (BTP)

4) Supporting assembly production operations,

5) Creating and maintaining entries for M&P databases

6) Evaluating new materials for production use

7) Authoring and maintaining non-metallic material and process specifications

8) Interfacing with material manufacturers and developing and overseeing of test plans

9) Generating and presenting technical presentations

10) Determining releasability of technical documents and specifications.

A level 2 employee Typically has 2 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications :

-Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.

-Minimum 1 year experience working with adhesives and/or sealants.

-Must possess or be able to obtain a US passport, and be willing to travel both within and outside of the US.

-Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Ability to work with and communicate with other Engineering disciplines.

Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively on multiple concurrent projects.

Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations.

Ability to lead a project and develop cost/schedule estimates.

Experience working in Materials and Processes Engineering on Aeronautics Programs is a plus.

Experience with issues related to inserting new technologies into production programs is a plus.

Experience with advanced surface preparation, techniques/analysis is a plus.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
