Divergent has invented a complete manufacturing solution to address system level challenges. The Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS) is a complete software hardware solution designed to replace traditional vehicle manufacturing. To make the complex simple, it is a complete modular digital factory for complex structures. Given a set of digital requirements as input, the machine automatically computationally engineers, additively manufactures, and assembles any complex structure. The system is able to move seamlessly between manufacturing different vehicle models. Position:
Senior Materials Engineer - Adhesives Key team member in delivering novel adhesives for the DAPS system and enabling our automated assembly process. Assures performance of Divergent engineered adhesive materials in their applications and leads investigations. What You'll Do:
- Serve as lead investigator in process development of custom adhesives for next-generation vehicle manufacturing. Candidate would work... with multiple functional teams to define a set of requirements for various adhesive bonding applications - Individual is a key contributor to maintaining performance of the materials laboratory and equipment, and quality standards relating to characterizing Divergent's adhesive materials - Leverage a robust external partner network to remain current in the state of the art of adhesive bonding to drive projects relating to system performance improvements over time - Possess the ability to define scope, manage resources, measure progress, and effectively communicate status of materials development projects to senior leadership - Assure proper documentation of technical data, including setting standards for the Divergent materials database, generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
