Karla Otto Paris is looking for an enthusiastic Beauty Account Manager. In this role, you will possess substantive industry knowledge and experience in communication, strong relationships with beauty media (press, influence, consumer, trade and digital). You must have a 360° understanding of the cosmetic industry, beauty & wellness trends as well as fashion and pop culture.
In close collaboration with the Beauty Director, you will ensure for France the implementation of the strategies necessary to maintain the image of the brands you represent. Your missions will include:

Client focus :
• Lead and coordinate French beauty clients, as well as select multi-market clients
• Handle the day-to-day client management including direct client contact, follow-up of each project demonstrating maturity, professionalism and client awareness
• Contribute to the development of compelling PR programs that drive brand awareness and purchase behavior for beauty clients
• Contribute to the development... of high value and innovative PR strategies to build customer awareness
• Strongly participate in event management of clients, of key moments of the agency i.e FW, Festival de Cannes…
• Build an annual calendar of “pitches” and steps/pitch” for brands in line with their editorial guidelines and in line with their brand communication strategy.
• Support the Beauty Director in creating, delivering & pitching exciting 360 COMM strategies for clients. Be a creative force
• Organize and actively participates in meetings and conference calls with clients and contacts in other Karla Otto offices.
• Prepare agendas/ media updates for client calls and meeting minutes
• Compile monthly status reports that include brands’ progress comparing each month’s performances
• Ensure proper budget management and monitoring of clients and ensure the timely flow of invoices (receipt, recording and payment).
• Be able to adapt and drive working processes and workflows depending on the client, to ensure success
• Keep up to speed with client competitors and current events relevant to the digital and luxury space
• Remain ahead of all news at the intersection of beauty and wellness, media, digital and culture in order to advise clients on new opportunities and emerging strategies, as well as competitors and opportunities relevant to the beauty & wellness space

Media focus :
• Maintain constant contact with all influential players related to the beauty and wellness industry in France: print and digital press, beauty editors, freelancers, influencers, KOLs, makeup artists, aestheticians, etc...
• Proactively outreach to key beauty/market /news editors in key French long/short lead, TV and online media outlets to secure media coverage, features, and news items
• Manage PR activities for beauty clients engaging in Fashion Week including editor outreach, backstage interview, trend reports, etc.and devise unique opportunities for beauty clients to capitalise on key calendar moments in France
• Develop, write and edit PR materials and secure client sign-off as appropriate
• Oversee and take responsibility for client product order and sample supply

Agency focus :
• Weekly reportings of activity to the Beauty Director Ensure to deliver appropriate qualitative and quantitative reviews and reports on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximise results and provide key future learnings
• Partner with Karla Otto digital/events/talents team and outside vendors to ensure seamless execution of brand vision and deliverables.
• Ensure positive communication with clients and international Karla Otto offices
• Able to lead, encourage, mentor, and develop junior staff members
• Liaise closely with internal and external teams, proactively managing workflow and resolving issues, reacting to client and consumer feedback etc.
• Research, propose and implement tools that will help the agency deliver against strategies set and record them successfully
• Ensuring up to date on all trends, platforms, industry case studies & best practices so we are considered a best in class agency

KEY ATTRIBUTES
• Minimum 5 years of experience preferably handling multiple luxury labels, working on branded content or communications, at a digital / marketing/ communication agency, or in-house at a brand that has a strong and forward-thinking digital/ experiential footprint. Past client-facing experience is an advantage.
• Minimum of a bachelor degree required in advertising, PR, marketing, communication or related field;
• Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous
• Excellent copywriting, communication and presentation skills (perfect spelling)
• Very strong understanding and established relationships within French beauty media (print, TV and digital), including senior, junior and freelance contacts
• Digitally and socially native: excellent knowledge of social media platforms + TikTok
• Prioritises/ accomplishes tasks accurately and thoroughly with strong follow-up skills
• High level execution skills and meticulous attention to detail, both aesthetically and organisationally
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and work to stringent deadlines
• Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint, FGPS (Keynote is a plus)
• A positive, can-do attitude who can work under pressure and likes to solve problems
• A creative, innovative thinker with an open attitude and eagerness to learn
• A real team player who will excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Coaching and management of junior team members with ability to motivate & inspire
• Good diplomacy & negotiation skills.
