PROJECT SAFETY OFFICER

SALARY: P30, 000- 35, 000 (12 Hrs duty)

This position is project based and will report directly to Safety Manager .

Required /Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Bachelor's degree, engineering graduate is an advantage.

2. Experience in implementing safety policies and procedures.

3. Knowledgeable of HIRAC, incident investigation, and reporting.

4. Knowledgeable of the OSH regulatory reportorial requirements.

5. OSH Practitioner is an advantage.

6.English speaking and writting proficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· deliver training programs to new and existing employees as per company standard

· deliver additional information and hold safety meetings

· collaborate with Health & Safety Manager in the development and revision of training programs

· perform employee evaluations as scheduled by Health & Safety Manager

- new helpers

- newly promoted runners

· perform Job Safety Analysis and prepare... Safe Work Procedures as requested by Health & Safety Manager

b) Draft and/or revise H&S policies and/or programs and ensure they are communicated to employees.

c) Identify, prepare and/or source out training program with respect to new and/or revised H&S policies.

d) Prepare audit tools and coordinate annual audits of H&S programs.

e) Analyze audit results; compile annual H&S audit reports, and prepare action plans for improvements in the consequent year.

f) Investigate all incidents, including near misses, analyze the causes, and come up with recommendations to prevent recurrence and communicate these to all employees.

g) Coordinate the company’s Early Return to Work Program for all injured workers.

h) Keep a comprehensive database of all reported incidents and accidents.

i) Compile and update accident statistics every month and inform clients and employees.

j) Tabulate and analyze accident costs.

k) Ensure that all components of the company’s Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) are to date.

l) On a yearly basis, prepare the year-end accident statistics report, accident cost summary, and morbidity/mortality summary.

m) Devise policies and guidelines concerning Health, Safety, and Environmental issues and ensure proper implementation of such.

Ensure that all reports to the Department of Labor and Employment, Bureau of Mines, and other government agencies as required were submitted.

Contract length: 3-4 months

Salary: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
