Do mechanical engineering activities on Radar, Identify Friend or Foe, and Datalink projects

Qualifications
• B Eng Mechanical
• M Eng will be advantageous

Ideal experience required

Mechanical design of structures and systems. Design of mechanical structures in CAD tools. Simulation and analysis of strength and thermal properties of mechanical structures. Leadership of a project involving mechanical structures. Design of structures, enclosures, brackets, fittings, and harnesses. Design and analysis of cooling systems. Selection of materials and components. Involvement in integration and assembly processes. Experience in industrialization and production will be highly advantageous.

Key technical skills and experience required
• Mechanical design of structures and systems
• Knowledge of mechanical CAD tools
• Knowledge of analysis tools like FEM and CFD tools
• Experience in leading a team of mechanical engineers and technicians.
• Experience in industrialization and... production of mechanical parts and components.
• Familiar with engineering processes and standards in a defence environment will be beneficial.

Key responsibility areas
• Lead the mechanical design effort of complex structure and mechanical parts.
• Do simulation and analysis of strength and thermal properties of mechanical structures.
• Design of structures, enclosures, brackets, fittings, and harnesses.
• Design and analysis of thermal management systems.
• Support the integration and assembly processes. Experience in industrialization and production will be highly advantageous.
