Your future role on our team

BBA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience in mine
process plants to support our continued growth and achievement of our strategic
objectives in British Columbia. The selected candidate will play
a key role in all phases of engineering projects from front end-studies through to field implementation with a focus on detailed
engineering. As a senior member of the mechanical engineering team, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the
delivery of exceptional technical quality, identification and development of
new business opportunities and nurturing the professional development of
members.

With

• Take a lead role in client communications and business development
• Develop scopes of work, budgets, methodologies and proposals
• Perform high level engineering on bulk material handling, crushing and grinding circuits, flotation circuits, leaching circuits, dewatering and overall process plant layout
• Lead all or mechanical scope on conceptual design studies, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering
• Be the Project Manager or Project Leader on engineering mandates within the mining industry
• Be a key team member for small to major brownfield/greenfield mining projects
• Participate in site inspections, condition assessments, commissioning, and testing
• Provide mentorship and coaching of junior/intermediate engineers, actively sharing knowledge, and supporting the enhancement of skills within the team

Overview of certifications and
job requirements
• University degree in Mechanical or Mining Engineering
• 12+ years of relevant engineering experience in the mining sector with a preference for 5+ years in consulting
• Must be a registered P.Eng in Canada
• Proven track record with strong technical skills as a Mechanical Engineer on mineral process plant projects
• Ability to interpret PFD’s and process design criteria from process engineering, preparing plant layouts, mechanical equipment selection and validation and pump sizing
• Valid driver’s license
• Available for site work and short-term assignments (mandatory)
• ASSET: Site experience considered a strong asset
