We are looking for an
Environmental manager (m/f/d)
to join our corporate environmental team, based in Dusseldorf, Germany.
In this role, your duties will cover Neste Renewables business operations in Europe, Asia and USA. The corporate environmental team is part of a larger HSSEQ organisation. Our team is responsible for coordinating environmental performance and compliance assurance of Neste operations. We also work together with the Neste Sustainability organisation and contribute to M&A operations associated with the growth of Neste business.
Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are
Coordination and development of environmental management of Neste renewable refineries and other operations Data gathering of the environmental profile of the renewable refineries for purposes to demonstrate sustainability of the production Environmental compliance assurance of the operations (production, logistics... and support for in-house environmental compliance reporting Support to environmental permitting associated to the operations Environmental aspects consideration for logistic operations
The best combination of experiences, skills and background is
MSc relevant to this role with at least 10+ years suitable experience in environmental management, including environmental permitting and compliance assurance Strong competence with HSSEQ knowledge and good understanding of relevant international practices and local laws and regulations and also Neste internal standards This role expects, but also enables, a high degree of personal freedom to actively shape and support the HSSEQ performance and strategy of the affected RP organisation Proven capability of reaching results and driving change with sustainable improvements Operational experience would be a plus, preferred experience of oil refining or petrochemicals operations and related environmental requirements, processes and practices Able to work in a structured way is expected; prior experience in using management tools is an important prerequisite Good communication skills and good ability to work in English(written and oral) Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation and stakeholders Experience with proven results of working in an international organisation Leadership and influencing skills
