About the Team & Business Line

The Projects and Governance Team is charged with providing multiple CFS Lines of Business units with project management governance. As a core member of the team, the successful candidate will work with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon. This particular role is for an IT Project Manager / Scrum Master who will be embedded within the Private Equity IT team, thus servicing Citco’s fast-growing Private Equity business line. Private Equity IT have a Scrum team in India working... on ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) projects, a strategic effort, and we are in the process of hiring a second.

Your Role
• Ensure that the project management policies of the Projects and Governance Team are implemented by Private Equity IT.
• Lead sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, demos, retrospectives and story mapping sessions.
• Liaise closely with the Product Owner and with business users, where appropriate.
• Use your skills to build a collaborative, productive, and engaged team environment.
• Anticipate and address potential or actual impediments to team delivery.
• Administer metrics tracking and other duties on behalf of the team.
• Assist in managing the expectations of the various stakeholders.
• Identify, log, manage and mitigate risk, as appropriate.

About You
• Recognized Scrum Master certification is required (e.g. CSM)
• 6-8 years of solid practical experience in the project management of in-house application development, ideally in a financial services environment
• Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines
• Recognized Project Management certification is highly desirable (e.g. PMP, Prince II)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems or equivalent
• Ability to switch to a Waterfall-style methodology for certain projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders
• Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance and build high morale among team members
• Ability to set priorities and to coordinate efforts in order to meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
• Good analytical, problem-solving, conflict-management and time-management skills
• Good working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
• Familiarity with ETL-style projects (Extract, Transform, Load) would be ideal as would any experience with client reporting
• Financial Services experience with knowledge of Private Equity, Fund Accounting and/or Investor Relations would be advantageous
• Familiarity with scaled agile principles (e.g. SAFe) would be a bonus
• A working knowledge of Investran would be an advantage
