MODE is an international design practice delivering world-class multidisciplinary outcomes locally for our partners throughout New Zealand and Australia, and internationally in the Pacific and South-East Asia. We employ 100+ talented designers who specialise in consultancy services across architecture, master planning, urban design, landscape architecture, interior and graphic design.

As a design practice, one of the key principles we prioritise today is better environments through a unique design process. This enables the design of buildings and spaces (with a focus on integration of internal and external spaces) that are adaptable to inevitable changes, including economic, social, environmental and educative.

The Role:

MODE are currently seeking a design architect to join the team in Auckland. The successful candidate will work alongside the Auckland team across multiple sectors and with opportunities to work with the principals to develop and implement the practice... wide design ethos and processes.

To be successful in this role, you will have 10 years’ experience and are required to have the following:
• Design visioning and development of return briefs
• Exceptional illustrative and delivery presentation skills / 3D modelling
• Considerable experience in delivering all aspects of a project from Schematic Design to documentation
• Current experience working on a diverse range of sector projects, particularly commercial and multi-storey
• Comprehensive knowledge in relevant NZ Standards
• Experience in front end concept work, design detailing and presentation skills.
• Strong technical knowledge and preference for practical experience of Revit systems, Sketchup and /or other 3D communication software / tools
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong time management skills with ability to plan, organize and prioritise own workload
• Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in business development and tender submission writing an advantage
